Stella Havkin

From 1987, Stella A. Havkin has been practicing primarily in commercial,  business, securities and bankruptcy law.   She has represented landlords, financial institutions, creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, debtors in Chapter 7 and 13 cases as well Chapter 7 Trustees.  Ms. Havkin has handled complex litigation matters on behalf of creditors and financial institutions in California, Texas and Florida.  She has prosecuted and defended numerous nondischargeability, claim objections and preference/fraudulent transfer actions in Bankruptcy Courts.  The subject matter of her cases have involved real estate, business, insurance, securities violations, tax controversies, among others.

Ian Shrago

Ian Shrago brings a wide range of practice experience to the firm.  In the past ten years, he has predominately practiced in business formation, providing advice, counsel and direction to small business and entrepreneurs.  He provides both legal and business advice to small businesses in their ongoing operations.  He negotiates and prepares agreements, leases and other business related legal document.  Prior to being an attorney, Ian Shrago, was engaged in various industries including automobiles, insurance, accounting and securities compliance.

Georgeann Hunter Nicol

Ms. Nicol brings a wide range of legal practice to Havkin & Shrago.   Before specializing the last 12 years in bankruptcy law, Ms. Nicol previously represented clients in the entertainment field, labor matters, complex personal injury cases and environmental law. Drawing on her experience in these fields has equipped her to assist her clients to successfully discharge their debts and defeat claims brought against them by creditors, Chapter 7 and 11  trustees and the Office of the United States Trustee.  Ms. Nicol has prevailed for her clients in numerous nondischargability cases involving claims of fraud, misrepresentation, and willful conduct.  After many years of vigorously representing debtors, Ms. Nicol was honored to be asked by Chapter 7 Trustees to represent them in a wide variety of matters.
